My earliest memory of art is that of my father teaching me how to draw a house when I was six or seven years old. From that intimate time with my father forward I have always had a deep fondness for art.
My preferred medium is acrylic on canvas. I employ a palette of hues in my paintings that are bright and harmonious. My brushwork is more strong and loose than fine and detailed. My style is most influenced by the great impressionist artists.
Working mainly from photographs, I make paintings of things that evoke fond memories or strike a chord. Each painting I do connects me with the energy of some memorable experience or to moments in time that are precious to me.
